Indiana’s Corn 83% Harvested, Soybeans 93% Harvested

As of Sunday, Nov. 6, 83% of Indiana’s corn for grain and 93% of Indiana’s soybeans have been harvested according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistic Service (NASS). That’s an increase from 71% for corn and 87% for soybeans across the state from the week before.
Corn harvested for grain across Indiana is above five-year average pace of 75%. Indiana soybeans are also ahead of the five-year average for harvesting of 85%.
Indiana’s harvest is still behind the rest of the U.S. According to the USDA, 87% of America’s corn and 94% percent of soybeans have been harvested on average.
In his weekly report, Nathanial Warenski, State Statistician, USDA NASS, Indiana Field Office, adds that winter wheat planting progress is at 90%, which is above the five-year average of 88%. So far, 63% of winter wheat has emerged.
